Walks take place on the fourth Monday each month.

Length : around 3-4 miles, time around 2 and a half hours.

All members are encouraged to lead a local walk each year.

We meet at the start point at 10.15 for a 10.30 am start. Most walks finish with a meal at a local pub (optional).

If you are interested in joining this group please ask a committee member at a Main Meeting, or send enquiry via the “Contact” page.

Members are advised to wear suitable footwear - walking boots or walking shoes. Weatherproof clothing and liquid refreshment should be carried.

Please contact the Leader if you wish to bring your dog. Dogs must be kept under close control at all times.

Visitors may take one walk, but will be expected to join U3A to take part in further walks.

Please note Walks organised by U3A groups automatically receive Public Liability Insurance cover, provided the Leaders are U3A members, through the Third Age Trust. This is designed to protect Leaders against claims for damage to property and for injury or death which might have been occasioned on the walk. This is NOT a personal accident insurance and accordingly participants on walks are responsible for their own Health and Safety and safekeeping of their equipment, clothes and belongings.
